Our plans provide portable and comprehensive worldwide medical coverage that offers employees the ability to access care from the provider of their choice anywhere in the world.
Custom Medical Plans:
Indemnity
An indemnity plan allows members flexibility in their choice of recognized health care providers, without a referral, for covered expenses. Members are responsible for seeking care, initiating precertification (where applicable), paying for services rendered, and submitting claims for reimbursement of covered services. Indemnity plans traditionally have out-of-pocket expenses such as deductibles and coinsurance which the member must pay before any expenses are paid under the plan. Benefit maximums and lifetime maximums also apply to the plan.
Aetna HealthFund HRA
The Aetna HealthFund Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) is a simple, three-part plan that helps employees take charge of their health and their health care spending. They start out with a fund to help pay for medical expenses -- picking and choosing the doctors or services that fit their needs. Preventive care is covered at 100% and a deductible applies before plan coverage begins.
Preferred Provider: Open Choice®
Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans also allow members to seek care from any provider they choose. However, members who may occasionally return to the United States or foreign nationals on assignment in the United States can receive significant discounts when they visit doctors or hospitals that are part of the Aetna U.S. Network. One of the most extensive in the United States today, this network includes doctors and hospitals approved and recruited by Aetna to offer quality care at prenegotiated rates. In addition, plans include benefit levels outside the U.S. that can match or exceed benefit levels for care rendered within an Aetna U.S. network so that members are not penalized when seeking care outside the U.S.
